In the late 90s, over a decade after Envirocom was created, we were approached by a blossoming holdings company and asked to design a custom unmanned automation system for their second storage facility opening in the Houston area late 2001. In a 2002 article of Mini Storage Messenger the owner of the facility was quoted saying, “We rely heavily on our alarm and surveillance system, so we needed a company that would build and install a security system that would be reliable and would experience as few false alarms as possible. We also wanted a hallway lighting system that would be activated by a series of switches and motion sensors that could be programmed into the alarm system.” After opening on-time in October of 2001 Amazing Spaces Spring, TX was named Mini Storage Messenger overall facility of the year in 2002. Now, over 20 years later that site is still operating flawlessly with over 110,000 square feet of rentable storage space that is monitored 24/7 by 32 surveillance cameras, 673 alarmed climate controlled self-storage units and 19 individual automated lighting zones.
